Design Storm Flow Diversions

Add flow splits or diversions at any junction in your storm sewer model. No complicated procedure to follow, just draw the upstream end of your diversion line to the proposed diversion junction and the software takes care of the rest. Use this feature to divert flows off-site; to another separate branch; or re-introduce back into the system downstream.

Automatically Matches HGLs

Stormwater Studio manages the flow diversion hydraulics automatically. There’s no need for you to guess at the split proportions or come up with some rating curve.

The software employs sophisticated calculation procedures that provide an exact balance between the diverted flows and the resulting hydraulic grade line. Rational method drainage areas and Cs (Sum CxA) entering the diversion are split in the same manner.

Import Dynamic TIN Surfaces

Import a TIN Surface from your CAD software and Stormwater Studio will automatically set your storm sewer Surface/Rim Elevations to match the TIN Surface. If the location of your Lines change, so do the Rim Elevations.

When a Surface TIN is loaded you’ll never have to enter Rim Elevation for your storm sewer lines. In addition, your Surface TINs will automatically generate intermediate ground points between junctions for use in your Profiles.

Import TIN Surfaces for Proposed and/or Existing

You can import up to two concurrent TIN surfaces to represent Proposed and/or Existing conditions. Your Rim elevations will automatically connect to the Proposed while the Existing TIN is used to document the existing grade on your profiles.
