The software that comes bundled is outstanding and is simple to use. Their staff is very knowledgeable and is always willing to answer questions. They have videos on how to use their software which gets you up and running quickly.

Great Software
I’ve been using Stormwater Studio along with Autodesk Civil 3D to import pipe networks and analyze them and print reports. Reports are easy to modify to your liking. Hydrology Studio is also easy to use, in both programs rainfall data is easy to set up for different locations. The other nice thing about the programs, they are constantly being updated with new additional features. I am very happy using the Hydrology Studio suite.

Valuable software
As more of a casual user these days, I find that the software is capable of doing much more than I need it to, as my design work is limited to piping network designs and retrofitting existing basins. My only extremely minor gripe is that I can sometimes get lost in all the capabilities when I just want to do something simple, but that is on me, not the software.
Perfect For Our Operation
I bought this program to size smaller stream crossing structures like round culverts and arches. I find the software very easy to use and I include the hydraulic reports in our project plans. The reports do an excellent job to demonstrate the planned hydraulic capacity and they are so easy to produce that I even include one for the current structure for dramatic effect (it shows a tidal wave of water flowing over the road, fun!). We use other methods to come up with design flows, but there is an option to use the rational method to derive expected flows (generally over-estimates, but in the engineering world I guess that's not a bad thing!).

I have been using Hydrology Studio for last 2-3 years and I am very impressed with the ease of use, user interface of this program. You can print out professional looking reports and they've got very good customer service. And all this you can get at a very reasonable price.

Highly recommend the entire suite package. Very user friendly. Was using ICPR but this is so intuitive and user friendly with similar results. Compared NRCS results to ICPR with reasonable results, but were smaller peak flows compared to TR55. However, TR55 and model's Rational Method are similar. Based on one project analysis discovered why a project site was experiencing flooding of storefronts due to offsite system surface overflow during low frequency events. Strongly recommend the Suite package including Stormwater Studio for practicing engineers to compare hydraulic grade lines to real world conditions. Was able to redesign catch basin inlets to intercept runoff and eliminate on site flooding.

This software has paid for itself over and over
I do a lot of site development drainage studies and this software has made detention analysis so easy. There are a lot of built-in options that cover every scenario I've run into. I highly recommend it.

I’ve used this previously, on many projects, some very simple, some rather complex. It’s user friendly, with a short learning curve, and makes it easy to develop storm water systems with multiple watersheds, catch basins and piping systems.

Very good software and exceptional support
We have used stormwater studio almost 2 years now. To evaluate the software, we modeled several past projects to compare with our prior modeling software and had comparable results. After a little bit of a learning curve, it is very simple and intuitive.
When we have had some issues to figure out, Tech support has gotten right back to us. Overall, we have been pleased using a quality software product at a reasonable price with exceptional tech support. Thanks.

Nice report presentations
I enjoyed using the software once I solved how to use it. I wish there was more example tutorials to describe how to initially set up pipes, areas, etc. in the the project, but in the absence of these, I was able to just click on the different nodes and intuitively figure out how the data is to be entered. I like how once you set elevations for one end of a pipe, the software automatically locks that elevation in so you don’t need to fill it in for the next pipe segment. I also like the highlight feature when you compute the network and it will show you where any pipes may be out of spec for slope or velocity. The software automatically and instantly computes a plethora of quantities you can evaluate which otherwise take forever to calc by hand, so you can quickly adjust a pipe slope or diameter and see the revised performance of the network.

Channel studio
Good program. The only down side that I noticed was the program does not deal with arch pipe culverts. I needed to run Culvert Studio to get those results.

Hydrology Studio Express Delivers
On-grade inlet efficiency calculations may not be quantum physics but are fairly involved. I usually prefer to write my own code or use a spreadsheet. But I couldn't improve on Studio Express. It works the way I would have done it myself.
